Prairie Wildfire, from Buffalo, Wyoming, sings bluegrass in the heart of cowboy country.  With lead singer Sage Palser on mandolin, Morgan Blaney on bass, and Holly Qualm on guitar, they offer tight harmonies and original instrumentation. Though still teenagers, the ladies have built a remarkable résumé, performing at festivals, in the historic Occidental Saloon, at dude ranches, and at music venues throughout the region. The girls have opened for Greg Blake, Front Country, and Horseshoes and Hand Grenades, among others. Joined by a fourth Wyoming girl, Tessa Taylor on banjo, the band recently opened for Dale Ann Bradley at the Occidental Saloon’s January Jam. Mentored by songwriter David Stewart (“True Grass,” “Blue Moon Over Texas,” “Key of Love”), the girls are “frequent flyers” at the renowned Occidental Thursday Night Jam. They are in their fourth year of teaching at a week-long acoustic music camp, BigHorn Bluegrass Camp, in Buffalo, Wyoming. Their first CD, Hometown Hearts (2018), produced by Jacob Groopman and recorded at Swingfingers Studio, features both originals and covers. In the spring of 2020 they released three more songs.
