Susan Stubson is a sixth generation Wyomingite. After receiving a Master of Music Degree in Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music, she moved to New York City where she worked as a freelance pianist. She was a vocal coach and rehearsal pianist at the Juilliard School, then served as an assistant to tenor Nico Castel at the Metropolitan Opera.

Susan is equal parts pianist and writer, her pieces are regularly published in WyoFileCowboy State DailyCasper Star Tribune, and in The New York Times. She has been a professional skier, a spokesmodel, a voice over artist and a commercial actress. She’s put thousands of miles on her bike, travelled the globe as a cruise ship pianist, stood atop Devils Tower, climbed the Pyramids of Giza (before it was illegal), and climbed or skied almost all of Colorado’s Fourteeners.

Meade Stubson is a jazz pianist based in Laramie, where he plays for the UW Jazz Ensemble. Thanks to the encouragement of his band teachers, Meade first encountered and fell in love with playing the jazz genre in the 7th grade jazz band. He has dedicated his life to his study of the craft. A classically trained pianist, Meade has qualified for numerous state and national competitions such as the Royal Conservatory of Music, and notably winning the top prize at the Wyoming MTNA Competition for High School Senior Performance in 2021.

Meade has performed for some of the largest names in jazz, including Wynton Marsalis, Jeff Hamilton, Adam Birnbaum, Tamir Hendelman and Steve Nelson. In 2023, Meade and the UW Jazz Ensemble performed in New York City as part of the Jazz at Lincoln Center program.
