JIM OLIVER
Jim Oliver began his music career in the Army playing in a band at officer and NCO clubs. His musical influences have been The Beatles, Elvis, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Chicago, and The Police.
Jim made recordings in 1978, 1979, 1986, 2000, and 2007. He backed up JJ Cale, who wrote songs for Eric Clapton, and he backed the Box Tops, who sang “The Letter” and “Cry Like a Baby.” He won 1st place in Casper’s Got Talent in 2010 and won 1st place in the National Songwriter’s Music Fair Competition in 1990 for his original song, “Can You Hear Me.”
