Lila McConigley Martin

Lila McConigley Martin has had an impressive career in musical theatre. Her Broadway credits include Priya in the Broadway premiere of Bombay Dreams at the St. James Theatre. In the West End, she has played roles such as Cover/Priya in Bombay Dreams at the Apollo Victoria, Fairy Godmother in Cinderella with Craig Revel-Horwood at the New Victoria Theatre, and Tiger Lily in Peter Pan with Joe Pasquale at the Orchard Theatre. She has also played Princess Jasmine in Aladdin with notable actors such as John Barrowman, Billy Pearce and Brian Conley.

Lila’s other theatre credits include Spider in The Attic, Lynn in Footsteps to the Moon at the White Bear Theatre, and Alice Fitzwarren in Dick Whittington at the Broadway Theatre. She has also been Sugar in Street Magic and Martirio in The House of Bernarda Alba Off-Broadway.

Lila has sung on several albums, including The Attic original cast album, Footsteps to The Moon original cast album, and albums with Gabor Presser, Nitin Sawhney, and more. She has worked with Sir Elton John, providing backing vocals for his performance at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, and has presented for Sesame Street and the BBC.

Lila is the soprano soloist for the beloved British opera group Tenors Un Limited (performing for ARTCORE – see page 73), touring and singing with them worldwide. She is also the creator and presenter of The Rainbow Nest, a children’s television show on kindness in development.
