Kelly Walsh High School Auditorium

Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company is Utah's most established institution of contemporary dance and is committed to the commissioning, presenting, and touring of new works by the world's most sought-after contemporary choreographers. As part of its 56th season, Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company tours to Casper, performing Strict Love by Doug Varone (Doug Varone and Dancers), Departure by Stephen Koester (Creach and Koester), Excerpts from Kate Weare's Unstruck (ODC Dance/SF resident artist), and Storm by Company Artistic Director, Daniel Charon. This concert has been specially curated for ARTCORE and boasts luscious partnering, ferocious athleticism, beautiful stillness, and rich human connection.

Beyond the choreography, the soundscape of the concert includes popular favorites from the 1960s and 1970s, experimental minimalist scores, and closes with an exhilarating original composition in the cinematic style. Music and dance can exist separate from one another, but it's far more exciting when the two mix!

In addition to the evening performance, the Company looks forward to educating K-12 students in the Natrona County School District, leading workshops at local dance studios, and masterclasses for the preprofessional performers in the Casper College Department of Theatre and Dance.
