Enchantment Theatre: Peter Rabbit Tales

March 17, 2020 • 7:30 p.m.
John F. Welsh Auditorium, Natrona County High School

Based in Philadelphia, Enchantment Theatre presents only original work based on classic stories from children's literature, using its signature blend of masked actors, pantomime, magic, large-scale puppets, and original music.

Our production is based on three of Beatrix Potter's "rabbit tales": The Tale of Peter Rabbit, The Tale of Benjamin Bunny and The Tale of Mr. Tod. Peter Rabbit, his sister Flopsy and his cousin Benjamin are all grown up; Flopsy and Benjamin are married with baby bunnies of their own. When the nasty badger, Tommy Brock, decides to steal the babies, Peter and Benjamin set off on an adventure to rescue the bunnies. Along the way, both of them have flashbacks to when Peter was almost caught in Mr. McGregor's garden and when Benjamin and Peter were saved from the McGregor's cat by Benjamin's father. A worried Flopsy decides to follow the cousins, and join the search. With Peter, Benjamin and Flopsy in close pursuit, Tommy Brock breaks into Mr. Tod's house and makes himself at home. Digging a tunnel under the house, the trio are about to rescue the bunnies, when Mr. Tod appears. With delightful derring-do, Peter hilariously pits the badger and fox against one another and rescues the baby bunnies.

Co-Sponsored by KUYO, the Des & Carrie Bennion Family/The Bon Agency and the Ramkota. Partial funding is from the Wyoming Community Foundation - Casper Area and Natrona County School District No. 1.
