Poet and essayist Rick Kempa lives in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Recently retired after thirty years of teaching at Western Wyoming College, he is embarking on a path of full-time writing and walking. He has, he says, "twin centers of gravity": Grand Teton National Park, where he first hiked as a boy in 1972, and the Grand Canyon, where he has been hiking for over four decades, and where he twice served as artist in residence. Kempa has edited two books about the canyon, ON FOOT: Grand Canyon Backpacking Stories and Going Down Grand: Poems from the Canyon. His latest poetry collection is Ten Thousand Voices.

For nearly 20 years Aaron, Charles and Jim Kopp have been a part of the Casper music scene. All three have played together and apart venturing into all genre of music. As a group they mostly play hard bop interspersed with funk and jazzy interpretations of popular songs. While all three have different backgrounds, that only adds to the diversity and excitement of their improvisations and groove.
